The Halftime Report

Outfit of the Day

This lovely woman walked by and I was pumped with how fabulous she came to the event today! Heading downstairs to the big ballrooms, she was going to duke it out against the greats wearing this excellent outfit! I even offered her a green bracelet to go with the green outfit, and she happily accepted. Let’s see some more exciting outfits tomorrow!

This Time Last Year

Last year, we were rolling off the plane in Las Vegas. Ready to try our hands at the bridge table and at the casino. Some players struck gold at the table and others brought home glory away from the bridge table. Let’s remind ourselves of the moments from last year!

Highlights To Watch For

Soloway Revenge

While team Fleisher came out on top, it was a slim margin of victory, eking out Team Messika by 2 IMPs. I'd watch for Messika to come back with a vengeance.

Mitchell Open BAM

Last year, the top 4 teams in the Mitchell Open BAM were all within half a board. Team Gordon came out on top last year, but can Perlin, Hu or Baniri come back to take the crown this year?

Women's Pairs

Last year, the mother daughter duo lead through the qualifying sessions, and took the event in the end. Will they reprise?

No Blues in the Blues

Simon Cope & Thomas Paske dominated the event last year with 1285.59 matchpoints, a commanding lead over the runners-up's total of 1197.46. Will they defend their title?
