Whenever I head to a bridge tournament, I always find it jarringly fun how many bridge players you can spot along the way. 

Sometimes, you’re on the same bus together. Sometimes, you’re on the same plane together. And sometimes, you decide to share an uber with a couple of people you’ve never met in your life because you’re all going to the same hotel. 

You can almost smell bridge players when you’re traveling. They have an air of “so you’re nonvul…”. You can almost hear them blaming their partner for *not* booking the earlier flight and so now that this is delayed it’s certainly *their* fault. 

I usually carry a deck of cards with me because more than once, after a bridge tournament, when all the bridge players are congegrating at the various gates, we find ourselves with time to kill and nothing passes the time better than bridge. 🙂 

But sometimes, you don’t know them before, and you need to suss them out. So, what are your tell tale signs that the person sitting next to you on the plane is a bridge player? Let me know!
