This lovely woman walked by and I was pumped with how fabulous she came to the event today! Heading downstairs to the big ballrooms, she was going to duke it out against the greats wearing this excellent outfit! I even offered her a green bracelet to go with the green outfit, and she happily accepted. Let’s see some more exciting outfits tomorrow!Â

We’re here! (Or at least we will be soon 😋)Â
This will be the second San Francisco NABC I’ll have attended. The last one I was just in my second year of college, and a very new bridge player. I was nervous, I was excited, and I did very little sight seeing, except for one awesome evening out with a cousin of mine.
He took me to a hole-in-the-wall Korean barbeque with comic book clipouts and sharpied signatures scrawled across every inch of the place. We sat in a tucked away booth and ordered 17 or so different items. And dare I say, it was one of my favorite restaurant outings I’ve had at an NABC. I’m not sure what it’s called, but sometimes it’s more about having those finite moments you can remember later on down the road, rather than embarking on a quest to return to where you once went.Â
A feat bridge players often struggle with at the table… We don’t need to keep revisiting our previous successes or shortcomings, we can take the moment in stride and look back fondly at what we’ve learned or found benefits from, but otherwise, just appreciate the moment for what it is… a moment.Â
So here are a couple of moments I’m going to try to experience while I’m visiting San Fran this time!Â
An iconic, beautiful row of victorian homes. This is the quintessential background for any piece of film taking place in San Fran.
The infamous high-security (but now defunct) prison where mobsters and outlaws like Al Capone were held.
Looking for the perfect panorama spot to watch the sunset in San Francisco? This is the place.
Not only is this home to the iconic Pier 39 but they also have a colony of SEALS???
This is a quirky and historic neighborhood that has record stores, past residences of Janis Joplin and the Grateful Dead, and lots of nods to the Summer of Love!
